Sino-German experts conducted the energy diagnosis for Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 3

In order to implement the Sino-German cooperation programme of energy-saving diagnosis for the key energy consumption enterprises, the energy experts from National Energy Conservation Center (NECC), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ), Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH (DENA) conducted an on-site energy diagnosis for Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 3 on March 28th-29th. energydesign and its sister company EGS-plan participated in the project as the external expert invited by DENA.

In the earlier stage, the expert panel had a preliminary teleconference meeting with Beijing Capital International Airport Co., Ltd (BCIA), and collected the relevant information of the area which is to be audited through questionnaire survey. This time, the German and Chinese experts investigated the HVAC and lighting system on the spot, measured the data of illuminance in the daytime and at night, ambient temperature and humidity, the velocity of the air duct etc. The expert panel also interviewed the relevant staff to further insight into the energy-saving measures taken by BCIA, the energy conservation gains and their energy plan in the future. On the basis of on-site fact finding, the experts will deliver a detailed energy auditing report, propose the technically feasible and economically beneficial solutions.

The Sino-German energy diagnosis for key energy consumption enterprise is an international cooperation programme which is jointly sponsored by National Development and Reform Commission and Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), supported by National Energy Conservation Center (NECC), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ), Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH (DENA). This programme aims to integrate the advanced technologies and experiences from both China and Germany to fully tap the energy conservation potential of key energy consumption enterprises in China and improve their energy efficiency.
